A Schoolhouse of Many Uses

Our mission is to preserve and restore the historic schoolhouse, to provide continuing education opportunities, and to exhibit Camano Island history. Our motto is "The old school becomes the new school."

A Fire Hall Revisited

When the Fire Hall came up for sale, it became more than wishful thinking. In December of 2018, the Schoolhouse Foundation purchased the Fire Hall and is enjoying creating a whole new way for the Camano City Community to grow.  A museum is being created on-site, full of Camano and Stanwood Fire Department history, including a 1935 fire engine.
