$15. The Camano City Schoolhouse is having a benefit concert by the “Legacy Ukulele Ensemble”, a group of 12 players from America & Canada directed by internationally renowned ukulele teacher Peter Luongo.
Since 2016 the group has been featured at ukulele festivals, shows, and multiple tours. The members are committed to developing their music literacy, musicianship, and vocal skills. The group’s repertoire of 51 arrangements includes Hawaiian, classical, ethnic, folk, rock, pop, and country pieces.

The Camano Schoolhouse Foundation presents the “2025 Heritage Bank Preservation Award” to Robin Hanks & Dr. Richard Hanks for their dedication to preserving the history of Camano Island and the Stanwood Area since 2015 through volunteering on boards and committees, outreach through talks and presentations, creation of the Stanwood Area Veterans Memorial, preservation of the Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center, researching and writing articles, creating graphic arts displays, writing and laying out books about early Camano Island and Stanwood history, and providing leadership in the creation of the Camano Schoolhouse Foundation Archive.
Since this is a benefit, please give generously to our beloved Schoolhouse. We are requesting a minimum donation of $15 per person to cover the cost of the meal.
