Lincoln and the Politics of Race

The Camano Schoolhouse will offer its tenth annual Lincoln Talk presented by Richard Hanks, PhD on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 1 p.m. Lincoln’s approach to the issue of race during his lifetime was complex; both circumstantial and personal. Hanks will discuss Lincoln’s evolution on the issue through the accounts of those Blacks with whom the President had a relationship. The event is FREE, but donations are greatly appreciated to preserve & restore our historical 1906 one-room schoolhouse and 1948 Fire Station #1. 993 Orchid Rd, Camano Island.
